About this project

The kitchen sits on a black and white checkerboard floor, with white cabinetry to the ceiling, lit glass-front uppers and a wood island under a crystal chandelier. A black farmhouse sink and a brass faucet face the island, and a professional-style range sits under a white range hood, with a brass pot filler on the slab backsplash. The breakfast table sits under a gold chandelier by black-framed windows.

A curved stair with wood treads and black balusters rises from the entry, where two arches frame the front door over a wood floor laid in a pattern. Beside the stair, a gray bookcase sits in an arched opening. The living room has a corner fireplace in a marble surround and floating wood shelves in an arched niche, the study has built-ins around a desk, and the powder room pairs burgundy walls with a fluted wood vanity and a veined stone backsplash.

The primary bath has a wood double vanity with fluted doors, oval brass mirrors and towel cubbies, lit from below, with a freestanding tub and a glass shower with brass fixtures. Another bath has a tub and shower in deep green tile and a white vanity with a black stone top, and a third has brass arched mirrors over a stone top. Two bedrooms have built-in shelves and window seats, and the house has a media room and an exercise room.
