Kitchens
Layout, cabinets, counters, lighting and the appliance wall, planned and priced as one piece.
What we remodel
Kitchens, primary baths, additions and whole-home remodels can be financed through our partner, Lyon Financial. You apply with Lyon Financial, and once your loan is approved, they pay SJ4 in stages as the work gets done, with your OK on each payment.
Subject to credit approval. Lyon Financial and its lending partners make every credit decision.
A remodel worth doing is often bigger than what is sitting in savings. Financing through Lyon Financial lets you do the kitchen and the floors now, instead of one room this year and the rest later, and pay for it over time.
We set the scope and price the work first, in writing, so you know exactly how much to ask for. Then you apply with Lyon Financial. Questions about the loan go to them. Questions about the house, the price and the schedule come to us, the same two people from the first walk-through to the last.
The remodel runs the way every SJ4 remodel does. Financing adds one step, and changes how SJ4 gets paid.
We see the space, hear what is not working, and talk range and timing. Tell us you are thinking about financing, and we plan around it.
Layout and selections chosen with you and priced as they are chosen. You get a written scope and price, which is the number you apply for.
Online or by phone, naming SJ4 Construction as your builder. Lyon Financial and its lending partners decide, and the rate and terms come from them.
Demo, rough-in, finishes. As each stage is done, Lyon Financial pays SJ4, and you confirm each payment before it goes out.
We go room by room with you, finish the last details, and stand behind the work with our warranty.
Financing covers the same remodels SJ4 Construction builds every year in McKinney and Collin County, from one room to the whole house.

What we remodel
Showers, tubs, vanities and tile, as part of a larger remodel, with the plumbing moved when the layout deserves it.

Opening walls, adding rooms, or taking a good house down to the studs and bringing it back the way you want it.
Talk about a bigger projectWhen a water or fire repair turns into a remodel, your insurance pays for the repair it covers. Financing can cover the upgrades you choose beyond that, priced separately and in writing before the work starts.
This financing is for remodels. A new custom home is usually paid for with a construction loan from a bank or mortgage lender. Ask us, and we will walk you through how the build schedule fits one.
Your scope is written line by line and priced before demo, so the amount you apply for is the amount the job costs, and changes are priced in writing before they happen.
Lyon Financial pays SJ4 in stages as the work gets done, and you confirm each payment, so the money moves with the progress you can see.
Joel has twenty-one years across construction and lending, and Susie spent twenty-one years in mortgage underwriting. We know what a lender needs to see from the builder.
Yes. SJ4 Construction remodels can be financed through our partner, Lyon Financial, for up to $250,000, subject to credit approval. You apply with Lyon Financial, and they pay SJ4 in stages as the work is done.

Up to $250,000 for a remodel. How much you qualify for depends on your credit and the lender's approval, and not everyone qualifies.
No. SJ4 Construction does not lend money, take loan applications or make credit decisions. Lyon Financial and its lending partners handle the application, the approval, the rate and the terms. Ask them anything about the loan itself.
Most people apply once they have our written scope and price, so they know exactly how much to ask for. Some apply first to see what they qualify for before they plan the remodel, and that works too. Either way, name SJ4 Construction as your builder.
In stages, as the work gets done. When a stage is finished, Lyon Financial pays SJ4, and you confirm the payment first.
Lyon Financial says its home improvement loans do not require home equity, so there is no appraisal and no lien on your home. Confirm how that applies to your loan with Lyon Financial when you apply.
Those come from the lender and depend on your credit, the amount and other factors, so we leave them to Lyon Financial. Their application and loan specialists can tell you what your options are.
No. Financing is a choice, never a requirement. You can pay cash, or use your own bank or credit union.
SJ4 takes on a few large remodels a year. For a single bathroom or a smaller project, usually under $50,000, we refer you to Audie Builds, a Plano contractor who does that work every week. Audie is family to us, and Audie Builds is an independent company with its own contract and warranty.
Financing is offered through Lyon Financial and its lending partners, not by SJ4 Construction. All loans are subject to credit approval, and not all applicants will qualify. Loan amounts, rates and terms are set by the lender and depend on your credit, the loan amount and other factors. SJ4 Construction does not take loan applications, make credit decisions or set loan terms. Lyon Financial is an independent company.
